Milestones - Strategic Partnerships and Transformational Projects
Major App Update. This year saw the most significant update to the EasyPark app in years. Alongside a refreshed look, we introduced enhanced EV charging features, creating a seamless parking and charging experience for users.
EasyPark Group was listed as one of the fastest growing companies in Europe by Financial Times and Statista.
Camera Park. The first camera-park installation in Australia and the achievement of over four million downloads of the EasyPark app by Australian drivers.
Enhanced Capabilities. ParkMobile expanded to 9 new cities, introducing ParkMobile Insights. This advanced technology, utilizing LiDAR and Scancar, digitized over 2,000 kilometers of parking inventory and collected occupancy data for over 395,715 miles/636.843 kilometers.
Reducing U.S. Parking Friction with Open Market. In Asbury Park, NJ, ParkMobile embraced an open market approach, allowing drivers to choose from multiple parking apps with varied features and fee structures. This model fosters innovation, cost savings, and consumer choice while driving digital adoption, with recent data showing mobile payments now accounting for 75-80% of all monthly transactions.
Partnerships.
- Hubject, unlocking access to 600,000 EV charging stations across Europe, paving the way for EV drivers to enjoy unparalleled convenience in 2025.
- Joined forces with Flash in North America to modernize parking infrastructure across millions of spaces, advancing digital payment solutions and integrating AI-powered tools for better driver experiences.
Smart City Collaborations. Partnered with cities like Philadelphia, Hamburg, and Bologna to improve parking operations and data-driven policy-making, enhancing livability and mobility.
Data-Driven Innovation. Expanded EasyPark Insights capabilities, enabling cities to optimize parking policies and simulate the effects of adding or removing parking spaces. We digitized over 2,000 kilometers of parking inventory using advanced scanning technology and introduced AI-powered enforcement tools.
Urban Mobility Trends in 2024
Rising Demand for EV Infrastructure. Charging points increased by 44-53% across the Nordics. Despite this growth, a slight decline in average charging volume per station highlights shifting behaviors, with more users charging at home or work. Popular charging locations include shopping malls, highway rest stops, and ski resorts.
Growing cars. According to data and research, analyzed by Easypark, the average size of vehicles has been continuously increasing, creating new challenges for cities impacting urban planning. EasyPark supports cities in addressing this trend through data-driven solutions and policy optimization.
Air quality and pollution. As urban populations grow, cities globally are adopting environmental zones to reduce emissions and improve air quality. Examples include restricted zones in Brussels, Germany, and Italy, alongside similar measures in the US and Australia. These initiatives reshape traffic flows and parking needs.
Continued product innovation in 2025
EasyPark Group looks forward to continuing to roll-out the new app across all geographies, most notable is the launch in the US in the second quarter. A key innovation in the new app is our AI chatbot that allows drivers to get instant and seamless support. EasyPark will also during next year release a new global re-design of its Cities & Operators interface Parking Dashboard.
Further EasyPark Group aims to bring new innovation to the market in areas such as Reservations where we will together with Flash be able to offer the ParkMobile customers thousands of new locations. We also plan to start experimenting with plug & charge to be able to offer a fully automated charging experience.
“As we wrap up 2024, we look ahead with optimism. With the surge in electric vehicles and the expanding network of integrated parking and charging options, EasyPark Group is set to continue playing an important role in urban mobility. With innovation, collaboration, and growth at the forefront, 2025 promises to be another exciting chapter. Thank you to our amazing team, customers, and partners for making 2024 such a remarkable year. Together, we make cities more livable.”
