EasyPark strengthens its board of directors with Tuva Palm and Nils Andén
EasyPark, Europe’s leading digital parking solutions provider, has announced two additions to its board of directors: Tuva Palm, former CTO for Nordnet and product manager at Klarna, and Nils Andén, Director of Digital Marketing at GVC Holding plc and former marketing manager at Unibet.
“We are very pleased to welcome two world class talents to our board,” says Johan Birgersson, CEO of EasyPark Group.
EasyPark’s smartphone app provides millions of registered users with the quickest and most efficient solution to find, remotely manage and pay for parking. With over 220 employees worldwide, the company has unrivalled coverage of millions of on-street parking spaces across 900 cities in 13 European countries, complimented by over 100 commercial off- street parking contracts. EasyPark also offers digital services that enable cities to improve traffic- flow and reduce urban congestion, while maximising occupancy rates for private parking operators. These services work in harmony to create more sustainable, cost efficient and ultimately smarter cities.
Tuva Palm, who currently sits on multiple boards, including LeoVegas, PE Accounting, Lunar Way and Regily, brings a wealth of technology and product experience from her roles as CTO for Nordnet, product manager at Klarna and various positions at Oracle.
Nils Andén has a strong track record of operational roles, most recently as Director of Digital Marketing at GVC Holding plc, previously at Currencyfair and before that several years at Unibet, and brings with him an extensive background in digital marketing and data strategy.
“Tuva and Nils both offer valuable expertise through their experience of developing and scaling successful tech companies at an international level. This makes for an extremely strong and dynamic team behind EasyPark,” says Birgersson.
With the recent launch of its “Find & Park” service, which guides users to available parking spaces in real time, Easypark continues to expand its industry leadership position in providing innovation in digital parking solutions to consumers, municipalities and private parking operators. The service is currently live in 900 cities.
“By driving innovation and digitization, we are working to create smarter and greener cities right across Europe. We can already see that ‘Find & Park’ halves the amount of time motorists spend finding a parking space, and it will have a real impact on CO2 emissions,” Birgersson explains.
“I have followed EasyPark and used their services for a long time, so I really look forward to working on the board. To be involved in developing such a successful and disruptive tech company linked to this type of everyday behaviour is truly interesting,” says Tuva Palm.
“EasyPark is a great international success story. With the parking industry undergoing rapid change, I think the coming years will be very exciting for the company, especially when you consider EasyPark’s work with AI and big data. I’m excited to be a part of EasyPark’s future,” says Nils Andén.
In 2019, EasyPark will focus on continued expansion in new and existing European markets, following the recent launch in Slovenia.
