EasyPark Group launches new Find & Park service in Rotterdam
Amsterdam, 20 March, 2018 – EasyPark Group CEO, Johan Birgersson today announced the arrival of the beta version of Find & Park for motorists in Rotterdam, coinciding with the opening day of Intertraffic smart mobility exhibition in Amsterdam. Find & Park is a new parking guidance service which helps drivers find an available parking space in the city. The service guides the driver turn-by-turn along the optimal path to find available parking on the street, or in a garage close to their destination.
“It’s a momentous occasion for me to be announcing the arrival of Find & Park here in the Netherlands at Intertraffic, as the service has already been nominated for an Intertraffic Innovation Award. I’m really proud of what our team has been able to achieve here and I truly believe Find & Park will have a positive impact on the city of Rotterdam,” said Birgersson.
Using advanced algorithms to process various data sources including transaction data, device tracking data, sensor data and floating car data (to mention a few), EasyPark has been able to build an accurate high-resolution map of parking availability in Rotterdam and promising results from testing in Stockholm have the potential to dramatically reduce parking search times in Rotterdam as well.
“Faster paths to available parking spaces not only reduce congestion and emissions, but also reduce a lot of stress and frustration experienced by motorists. Unlike expensive, sensor-based solutions, Find & Park combines parking data with various other data sources to then calculate the optimal route for drivers to find parking along the way to the destination,” added Birgersson.
Apart from Find & Park, EasyPark has delivered a wave of innovative services in the Netherlands over the past 6 months, with the EasyPark app launching during the European Parking Congress last year in Rotterdam, along with the Parking Dashboard tool for efficient parking data management and system optimization. Find & Park has already launched in Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo.
Motorists in Rotterdam can now try the beta version of Find & Park for themselves within the existing EasyPark app, simply by tapping the ‘Find’ icon at the bottom left hand corner of the home screen.
